The Rake and Claridge’s party…….

Happy New Year to you all!

To Start our New Year in style, we were invited to The Rake and Claridge’s London collections; Men party. Of course, the elegant evening was held in the ball room at Claridge’s. The large bevelled edged wall mirrors reflected the romantic candle lit lanterns surrounding clouds of hydrangeas and spheres of delicate pink roses. The striking General manager of Claridge’s, Thomas Kochs, was there to greet and share his knowledge of the beautiful hotel.

The Rake’s founder Wei Koh, looked relaxed and seemed to warm everyone with his easy charm. Wei introduced us to more of his Rake team, and as usual they were as stylish as the magazine that they contribute to. Steven and I attended the party with John and Margaret Hitchcock. Many people were delighted to see Steven and John out together, wearing their classic soft tailored double breasted suits! However, the bonus was Mother Hitchcock, it seems she has her own following! A family outing indeed.

To round the evening off we all hot footed it back to our hotel bar to read the latest Rake Magazine, over gin and tonics. You will all be pleased to hear that The Rake are looking for a London office and that the magazine will be available to buy over the counter! Good news to start a new year, you can’t beat it!
